Welcome to Rand York Minerals
Rand York Minerals (Pty) Ltd exclusively processes and markets foundry chromite sand for
the London listed Xstrata Group, sourced from various suppliers in Southern
Africa. All material is mined in the heart of the Bushveld Complex, the
principal chromite deposit in South Africa.
Rand York was established in 1992. Our plant is conveniently situated in the
heart of the Bushveld Complex alongside the railway line to Durban and Richards
Bay, approximately 160km North West of Johannesburg. Our head office is in
Sandton, Johannesburg.
Chrome Beneficiation
The beneficiation plant represents the latest in spiral and heavy medium
technology, producing quality foundry chromite sand. All material is washed and
processed under ISO9000/2 standards or the equivalent of these standards. Rand
York Minerals supplies Foundry, Chemical and Metallurgical grade chrome ore,
packed either as dried and bagged, or wet bulk.
